About a half-dozen tenants were displaced by an overnight fire that extensively damaged an older three-storey house in Kentville.
The fire, which was reported around 1 a.m. Saturday, occurred at a Redden Avenue home that contained four apartments.
There were no reports of injuries. Kentville Fire responded to the call, with mutual aid coming from Waterville, New Minas, Port Williams, Wolfville, and Greenwich.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers were contacted to help with emergency lodging, food, clothing and other basics but all tenants had left the scene. Red Cross support remains available for the affected tenants if it is needed.
