Facility Information

Our air conditioned banquet hall is 70 ft X 40 ft with a 10ft stage at one end and washrooms on the side. It can seat up to 250 for a banquet, 220 for a dance, or 260 for a concert. There are 36 tables (30inch X 96 inch), 4 poly tables (30inch X 72 inch), 260 chairs, a large and small podium, pa system with 2 wireless microphones and 2 wired microphones, 7 ft X 7 ft retractable screen, ceiling mounted multimedia projector, overhead projector, three flags and stand (Canadian, Nova Scotia and Fire Service), 30 ft of burgundy table skirting that matches the stage curtains, paper pad easel. The hall is decorated for the Christmas season from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31. The hall is an excellent venue to hold wedding receptions, dances, meetings, training courses, fundraising benefits, or concerts. There is an industrial kitchen with a food establishment license for you catering needs and a bar if you so require.

A smaller room, the Banks Room, is also air conditioned and is used mainly for meetings and children’s birthday parties it is 25ft X 21ft, comes with tables (30inch X 96 inch), 47 soft cushion chairs, 6 ft X 6 ft retractable screen, overhead projector, white board, TV, VCR, and paper pad easel.

Banquet Hall

$150 per day or $25 per hour for 5 hours or less
FREE, upon approval, for non-profit community groups, youth groups and church groups with in the Village of Cornwallis Square or the fire boundaries of the Waterville District Fire Department.
FREE for fire department members
FREE if the Waterville & District Fire Department Auxiliary catered event is over $750
$25 for tea and coffee service

** Note: ** A deposit of half the rental fee, non-refundable if event is cancelled, may be required to secure a date if there is a second requester; this applies to both paid and FREE rentals.

$50.00 Clean up charge on all non-payable rentals refunded only upon satisfactory inspection of Hall. Please allow 30 days for refund.

Banks Room

$50 per day for a commercial organization or union
$30 Children’s Birthday Party - 2 hours depend on bookings

Bar

Provided on request at no charge
Bars will only be operated by the Fire Department. For items not regularly stocked there will be NSLC charge + 40%. Only liquor under the Department licence is permitted on Village property.
